Week 23 of 2014. We are almost half way done. I can't believe it. In some ways this year has just flown by and in others, it has gone at a snail's pace. One thing for sure is that I'm loving summer. We've been taking it a little easier around here. We are just doing a tiny bit of school work (although my kids might make you think it's a bunch), and we are doing lots of summer things. You can read all about it below.

Journaling: Monday we went to Cherokee to celebrate Zach’s 10th birthday by playing in the creek and having a picnic. Apparently Kyla was excited about the cupcakes. Tuesday night we went for a walk on the Greenway. Lydia thought we were racing and said, “Ready, Set, Go!” So we all lined up for a little race. I think Kyla won. Friends came over on Wednesday, and there was lots of playing outside, including some sidewalk chalk.

 Journaling: Thursday night we built a “city” out of Legos, Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys. It took over our whole living room. We also had ice cream Sundaes with cousins. We went for a bike ride on the Greenway on Friday night. Lydia can finally pedal the little tricycle! We are all very happy about that. The girls and I also went to Camp Living Water for a homeschool day. Lydia enjoyed swinging while the older girls went off to do all the fun camp stuff. It was a summer filled week!

Here's your Daily Life Journal Card 23. I think this can make a really fun journal card. You can add a photo in the speech bubble, or use it for journaling.
