Happy fall y’all!! CTM Robin here with another Step-by-Step blog post. I know fall is technically here, but not so much in Texas! Since it’s still in the 90’s (Fahrenheit), I thought I’d scrap a summer page about our hotel stay in Honolulu, Hawaii. I wanted to use some of Liz’s cut outs, so I grabbed two sets – Vacation Cut Outs and Spring Cut Outs. I really like using bold accents on some pages, so these were perfect for what I needed. Let me show you what I made 😊
First, I added my three photos (including the one with my
son’s closed eyes!):
Next, I added the two cut outs. I made my title from the Vacation Cut Outs and chose the large butterfly from the Spring Cut Outs:
I then duplicated the title and clipped papers to all three die cuts. Using Just Jaimee’s Storyteller 2020 July collection, I also added a bold strip of paper too:
At this point, I decided to add a stroke around my uppermost title layer and then balanced out the page with some elements:
Finally, I told my story (the most important part in my mind) and voila! My page was done!
See how easy it is to use Liz’s cut outs? They make perfect titles for your layouts as well as add some interesting elements too. I hope you like my page and I’ll see you next month with another Step-by-Step blog post.
