CTM Robin here with another GSO blog post. I was perusing Liz’s gallery today in order to find my mojo. Truly, the heat just dries it up and leaves me feeling very uncreative. But I have a great trick to jumpstart it, and that’s scraplifting other talented scrappers’ pages! Hey, they say the imitation is the best sort of flattery so I’m being very, very flattering right now :P
First, look at this one by spcoggs:
The store looks amazing, and I love the way she documented her visit. That title reminds me of Bigfoot with its dirty and hairy appearance.
Next, I saw this one by umyesh and knew I wanted to highlight
it:
I love a good big photo layout and this one is fabulous. The angle of the photo makes your eyes start off in the center, and then spread to both sides of the outfield. Additionally, this is another example today of how a title can match the layout so well too!
Now for something totally different, look at this one by
mywisecrafts:
I’ve gone from loving all the photos on these pages, to loving a photoless page! Her blending is incredible, and I’m amazed at the effect she achieves by clipping the chosen papers to the template. It’s so unifying and wonderfully showcases that journaling in the center!
This page by CathQuillScrap is another layout where photo placement really captured my interest:
I love the tilted series of photos and eye-catching papers. Her title work and journaling are tucked in so perfectly too. What a fabulous layout!
Lastly, I had to leave you with this page by Dady:
Who can resist a smiling llama??!! This entire layout is playful and full of energy. I would love to hear the story behind this photo some day!
Well, that’s it for me this month. I’m still in shock that half of the year is
almost over, so I think I’ll go and figure out how I can scraplift these pages
and therefore get back outside while I still can. Summer is going too fast here
in the US!
See y’all next month!
